Infants

Learning With Love

Infant Care (6 weeks – 16 months)

TELC is an extension of your home, and we want the very best for your littlest ones. Guided by family input, infants are encouraged to eat, sleep, and play on demand. Breast milk or formula provided by parents keeps each tummy happy, and children are comforted with a blanket brought from home so that the environment always feels familiar and safe. The clean play area gives children a variety of textures, sounds, and sights to explore, and ample floor space allows for gross motor development. Comfort is the key ingredient in our infant rooms, and our staff enjoy rocking children and engaging them in play.

Wobblers

Learning Through Play

Wobbler Care (16 months – 2 years)

Every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow and play! The Wobbler classroom is a truly unique bridge between our Infant and Toddler rooms. With this being their first introduction to a classroom environment, they’ll experience a consistent daily schedule including outdoor play, meal time, arts and crafts, and more. You’ll love seeing how they blossom as they begin to develop their fine motor skills and experience sensory play throughout the week. As little “movers and shakers”, the Wobblers keep us on our toes in the best way.

Toddlers

Learning By Exploring

Toddler Care (2 – 3 years)

Children are naturally curious, and Toddlers/Twos at TELC learn by exploring and experiencing. Using all five senses allows children to participate in firsthand experiences to become confident, competent learners. Playing at a variety of learning centers within the classroom provides opportunity for young children to learn at their own level of interest and skills. Playing “pretend,” learning games, hands-on activities — these are just a few of the ways we keep kids engaged. Since learning how to relate to others is important, we do large and small group activities every day including a character development group that might emphasize sharing, loving others, or helping at home.

Preschool

Learning By Doing

Preschool and Jr. Kindergarten (3 – 5 years)

An exciting world is opened to a young child when given opportunities to explore, feel independent, and ask questions. Children in preschool and pre-kindergarten are encouraged to try new things every day in the classroom: use creativity to put on a play in the dramatic play corner, exercise their muscles in a game of catch with a classmate, or make up stories in the writing center using a combination of words and hand drawn pictures. Groups focus on developing the four aspects of literacy- reading, writing, speaking, and listening, and the manipulative shelves hold boxes of trinkets and treasures to use for counting, sorting, and playing “make-believe.” Character development is part of everyday at TELC. Using play, stories, and activities children learn important skills for making friends and school readiness.

Extended Care: After School (K-4th Grade)

Time at home is about family. Let your kids finish homework and have time with friends while you are still at work.

School hours don’t always match your work schedule, and TELC kids need a safe place to study quietly before the big test, eat a hearty snack, and hang out with new friends. When children aren’t at school, they can sit at a café table to play a board game, dress up in the dramatic play corner, relax with a monitored computer game, get help with homework, or settle into a lounge chair to read a story.

*Transportation is not provided to/from other elementary schools to TELC*

Extended Care: Day Camp (K-4th Grade)

Fun, Friends, Field Trips… it doesn’t get much better than camp at Trinity!

Flexible day camp schedules allow you to sign up for Winter Break, Spring Break, and any weeks of Summer that you choose! All meals and snacks are included in the cost: $100/day.

School children from all schools are welcomed to join Day Camps during summer and school breaks. Children enjoy a day of planned art, drama or science, field trips, with portions of the day left open for unstructured play with friends.

Drop-In Care

Drop in Child Care (6 weeks to 10 years)

At this time families may not enroll for drop-in only.

Just imagine how much faster your errands could be completed without buckling your child in and out of his car seat a dozen times. Or a friend just called to see if you’re free for a walk on the waterfront on this rarely sunny day. Maybe your stellar plan for orchestrating your mother in law, sister’s neighbor, and the teenager at church to watch your kids just didn’t work out. Regardless of your reasons, TELC is available to help out.

Once your child is enrolled at TELC, just email or call one to two days before you need care, and if space is available, our teachers will welcome your child into our classrooms. All at your convenience, and all just at the time you need it. Trinity is about families, and that means being available for all ages at flexible times that work for your family.

$12 per hour, available as space allows. 2 hour minimum session. Email or call in advance to ask about availability. Space is not guaranteed.

Once you are enrolled, this is the procedure to request drop in care:

  • Email your request to [email protected]  up to two business days before you want drop in care.

  • When emailing, please make the subject line “Drop in Care: Your Child’s Name & Date You Want Care.” Not having this subject line won’t disqualify you from being considered, but it really does help us sort our email inbox more quickly. In the email body, tell us the hours you need.

  • We will reply by email as soon as possible to let you know if we have space or if we’re full at the hours you requested.
